Ten months after ascending the throne, Modi is full focussed on the upcoming budget for the year 2015. With all eyes on the new Prime Minister’s team who is going to launch their first budget, the big challenge for the team is to be able to meet the expectations of Indian public with prudence. Businesses, foreign investors, industries and even the common man are looking forward to a conducive policy framework and investment friendly ambience encouraging Indian economy. While financing models, taxation, interests, investments, export and import policies by industry veterans from various sections top the suggestion list, it is highly believed that the sectors under the ‘Make in India’ initiative are going to receive a massive advantage comparatively. Narrowing down to the biotechnology and pharma divisions, we are looking forward to a prolific addition in the areas of research and employment concerning these verticals.
The government in its agenda has declared the creation of an innovation fund of Rs.10,000 crore. Now ABLE recommends that the R&D cess be utilised to create this fund. – Dr. Murali, ABLE President
